Pick your Style
You must first decide the style you’d like to achieve. The style is important because it determines length, texture and density. Once you’ve decided on a style (it should be something versatile), then determine the length you will need to achieve the style. When considering your style, remember that there are a few choices from which to choose:

LENGTH
Length is determined by style and personal preference. You can achieve the same style with different lengths (ex, short vs. long layers, short vs. medium length bob, etc.). Only
you can decide the appropriate length for your age, life style and comfort level.

TEXTURE
We have many textures from which to choose. Again, your style will determine your texture. Whether you prefer a curly or straight texture or a wavy, yaki or silky straight is all a matter of personal taste and preference.

DENSITY
We believe most people will be happy with a medium-light density. In our opinion, it is the most natural density (not too light and not too heavy). If you’re going for a fuller look (such as a Jill Scott kinky-type texture), we recommend medium density. You’ll need a medium density if you’re trying to achieve a full look with lots of volume/height. We believe medium density is the heaviest most women should go. Anything else tends to look too like a wig.
